ONCHEON STREAM
The Oncheon Stream, which rises from the valley below Geumjeongsan Beomeosa Gyemyeongbong, flows through the 3 districts of, Geumjeong, Dongnae, and Yeonje, and continues to move approximately 14.1km.
It finally meets the Suyeong river around Suyeong Waste Water Treatment Plant. Yeonje-gu has restored Oncheon Stream which was abandoned in various wastes and odor to an environment- friendly river through a public project in 1998.
On the waterfront area of 42,900 ㎡, we have developed 22 various facilities and a lawn of 19,800 ㎡. We also planted 57,000 trees of 18 different varieties and 214,000 wild flowers of 45 varieties in the garden of 6, 600㎡ for citizens' relaxing hours. And average 13,000 residents using these facilities every day
