Emblem

£ª An image of harmony and a bright future for the residents  
    in the center of Busan Metropolitan City
£ª The clean and joyful minds of the residents of Yeonje-gu
    are represented by blue, while the comfortable living
    environment of Yeonje- gu is symbolized by green
£ª Circles on the exterior symbolize harmony.
    Blue on the upper part signifies rapid progress, the white
    line in the middle symbolizes an ascending stork, and
    green means lotus.


Flower: Lotus

£ª Many lotuses used to grow near Geoje Stream and
    Yeonsan-dong.  ¡°Yeon¡± means lotus in Korean and
    is thus the origin of the place names Yeonsan-dong,
     Mt Geumryeon and Yeonje-gu itself.
£ª The lotus also symbolizes prosperity, good luck, life
    and honor.


Bird: Stork

£ª Geoje-dong was inhabited by storks in the  recent past
£ª Storks symbolize happiness, blessings and patience


Tree: Pine Tree

£ª Pine tree forests are a familiar sight in Korea and there was
    a large pine grove in Geoje-dong
£ª The pine tree symbolizes good spirits, integrity, patience
    and sturdiness
