- Temple NameGeumyongam Temple
- Location111, Seongjigok-ro (Geumyongam in Geoje-dong)
Overview
Although Geumyongam is a small temple in Shoemisan between the back of Sajik-dong and Choeup-dong, it is a temple which has become a part of nature as if it were in the paradisiacal Sumisan.
The 300-meter- long pine tree pathway, which is detached from the mundane life, is a valuable natural landscape which this temple boasts. The symbolic meanings of Yumhwajeon, the main building at this temple, is impressive. The fresco and altar portrait of Buddha emit the scent of golden fish from Busan. Therefore, it shows much more local flavor.
